Humbled By Grandeur

Another lovely view of St. Peter's Square in Vatican City, Italy. Marie writes that everything ... monuments, statues, columns ... are bigger than life in Vatican City and visitors are "obliged to feel humble in front of such strength and beauty, even if you're not a believer." I'm sure that is probably quite true for most, but I wish more people were as humbled by natural places as they are by man-made.

Especially in those days, when nature seems to take some revenge on us all.. We had a terrible storm two days ago here!it makes us remember to be humble!

Rome...is our nest stop !
By the way ! Thank you so much for your Amish postcard. It reminds me a lot of very good souvenirs...10 years ago, we spent one week in Lancaster county in an amish B and B. It was like going back to the past...a dream for me !

I think we take nature for granted because it's all around us. Man-made and natural combined....that's really eye-catching.
