This might look like a postcard honoring art in Toppenish, Washington, but it is actually a stealth beverage postcard. Stealth because you would never know until you read the message from Lynda Jo on the back of the card that this area of the States is beverage-rich.Lynda Jo does mention the fishing done from the shores of the Yakima River in Toppenish. She mentions the 73 murals that decorate the town. But what really catches my attention is that Lynda Jo also mentions the area is home to one of the largest wine regions in the States and the largest hop, a primary ingredient in beer, producing region in the world! There is even a Hop Museum in Toppenish. They offer school tours. Imagine your child coming home from school with a permission slip to visit the Hop Museum. I'm thinking Sharon's school group might have enjoyed that more than LBJ's library.
