A Long Linked Line

This long linked line is the Welsh Rugby Squad, also known as the Red Dragons. Judith showed this postcard to her 30 year old son, who is a rugby coach in the US, and he knew several of the players by their jersey numbers alone. He suggests we notice #18, and then observe #4 and #5, who are both about 6 feet, 5 inches tall (1.96 m), and the gentleman wearing #18 towers over them. Judith writes that her son grew a bit misty eyed thinking about what he could do with some very tall, skilled players. He works with college students, many of whom have never played the game before. But, as Judith writes, the players learn fast.

I don't follow sports of any sort very closely. I do enjoy some live sporting events, and I suspect there will be a few soccer games in my future as my grandchildren get older. My daughter played field hockey, but I could only watch that when my hands pressed firmly over my eyes.
