Royal Hauntings

Windsor Castle, Berkshire residence of England's kings and queens since the 12th century, is only twenty minutes from Sukie's home, so she visits it often. She writes that it still looks pretty much like the image in this picture that looks to be about 1920s or 30s.

Like all great castles, Windsor has ghost stories. The one that most intrigues me is that King Henry VIII, who is buried here, roams the halls, groaning with pain because of his aching leg. There is also a legend that King George III, who spent time here during bouts of mental illness, out of the public eye, in the 18th century, sadly sits and gazes out windows.
